Discussions in the EbA Community resume! Phase III opens with the following topic: Wetlands Management Plans

In partnership with the Ramsar Regional Center/ CREHO, MiAmbiente of Panama and the Wetlands International Foundation, the EbA Community of Practice team will start a new e-discussion programme on September 5th. It will provide a virtual course on Wetlands focus Management Plans focused on Climate Change, in September. The weekly topics include:
 
September 5-9: Management Plans and the Ramsar Convention
September 12-16: Diagnosis and Baseline Preparation
September 19-23: Public Use Plan, Monitoring Plan, Management of fisheries
September 26-30: Adaptation Measures based on ecosystems and management plans
 
The moderators include Rebeca Magaña, of Ramsar / CREHO, and our teachers include Arturo Dominici Arosemena, Executive Director of the Ramsar Regional Centre (CREHO); Daniel Suman, Marine Policy Professor at the Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science at the University of Miami; Cesar Abrego Funes, Biologist with a postgraduate Degree in Fisheries Biology and Management of the Fisheries Industry at the University of Bergen, Norway; Moirah Menezes, Biologist, with a PhD in Natural Sciences from the University of Bremen, Germany, and Alejandro Jimenez, Wetlands International Consultant and Biologist with Master’s Degrees in Environmental Impact Assessment and Geography.
 
The course will finish with an in-class week in the Bocas del Toro Province, Panama, from October 3rd to 7th. Interested parties can register and receive a participation certificate after completing the course.
