Bellow are some of my work and involvement in EBA. 1.1 Strengthening capacities of Governmental and civil sectors on climate change awareness and education on sustainable development THE AIM OF THE PROJECT: The aim of the project was increasing public knowledge about climate changes issues, promotion of renewable energy sources and saving energy. 1.2 Partnership actions for biodiversity protection in Northern Nigeria THE AIM OF THE PROJECT: • Strengthen the networking and communication capacity of 50 NGOs in Nigeria • Raise the awareness of selected civil society sectors in Nigeria on the importance of innovative environmental policies and regional campaigns to protect the natural resources of west African region • Strengthen the NGOs networks in Nigeria and connect them with similar networks in West African region • Share and learn from international best practices 1.3 Preventing the Boki forest from illegal cutting down of forest trees to prevent deforestation THE AIM OF THE PROJECT: • To stop illegal forest cutting, preservation of Boki Forest until proclaiming the area as nationally and internationally protected area • Stop nature violation by forestry sector and miscellaneous usage of collisions between law procedures and concessionaires and controversial management from Directorate of Forests. 1.4 Organization of Campaign Earth Hour 2015 THE AIM OF THE PROJECT: The aim of the project was increasing public knowledge about climate changes issues, promotion of renewable energy sources and saving energy 1.5 Workshop on water stewardship THE AIM OF THE PROJECT: The aim of the Project was for the conservation of Water Resources through sustainable water use and management as well as promotion of water harvesting system during the raining season 1.6 Afforestation of degraded lands in Safana community in Katsina State THE AIM OF THE PROJECT: The aim of the project was Afforestation of degraded lands in safana community in Katsina state by planting trees and promotion of Agro-Forestry and Conservation of Forest Resources, Eco- Systems and Bio-diversity 1.7 Introduction of Eco-Friendly Charcoal and Paper Briquettes in Rural and Urban areas as an alternative to cutting down of forest trees for Fuel-Wood THE AIM OF THE PROJECT: The aim of the project is the Introduction of Eco-Friendly Briquettes to rural and urban communities in Nigeria as an alternative and renewable source of energy to prevent cutting down of forest trees for Fuel-Wood and forest conservation 1.8 Community-Based Disaster Risk Reduction (CBDRR) Programmes THE AIM OF THE PROJECT: Community Sensitization and Introduction of Disaster Risk Reduction initiatives and programmes in vulnerable communities 1.9 Community-Based Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation Strategies THE AIM OF THE PROJECT: Climate Change Resilience and Mitigation initiatives geared towards combating the impact of climate change in rural areas.
