The overall objective of the Global Adaptation Network (GAN) is to help build climate resilience of vulnerable communities, ecosystems and economies through the mobilization of knowledge for adaptation.
On March 6th & 7th 2015, the Global Adaptation Network (GAN) in partnership with the GAN Regional Networks will host the first ever Global Adaptation Network Forum. The Forum will be held in Panama City Panama.
The forum is expected to draw approx. 100 adaptation experts, practitioners and policy makers from across the globe. The GAN forum will be held in order to:
- Share ideas on how to build a successfully take forward adaptation knowledge through bi-lateral collaboration and the GAN network
- Provide opportunities for networking and social learning among practitioners, researchers and policy makers, at global and regional levels
- Plan for up-scaling and replicating adaptation actions and adaptive capacity building
- Demonstrate lessons learned and knowledge generated by the Global Adaptation Network and its Regional Networks and key partners
- Create synergies between the GAN and other initiatives
