Ecosystem-based Adaptation Approach to Maintaining Water Security in Critical Water Catchments in Mongolia

The project 'Ecosystem Based Adaptation Approach to Maintaining Water Security in Critical Water Catchments in Mongolia', funded by the Adaptation Fund, is implemented by UNDP and executed by the government of Mongolia (Ministry of Nature, Environment, and Tourism).

The project objective is to maintain the water provisioning services supplied by mountains and steppe ecosystems, by internalizing climate change risks within land and water resource management regimes. 

The  project started in January 2012, and will end in 2017.
