Posted on: 30 Oct 2020 / Submitted by: Tatirose Vijitpan

The BMU-IKI funded and GIZ-implemented Global Project Mainstreaming EbA cordially invites you to the 5th EbA Community of Practice Workshop. The event will take place on November 24th and 25th, 2020 in an entirely virtual format.

Workshop participants: Members of the international EbA Community of Practice and related networks, especially:

• experts and practitioners from international organizations, think tanks, and civil society;

• decision-makers at national and sub-national levels involved in EbA mainstreaming, implementation and coordination with key actors for budget planning, mobilizing public and private finance, and key actors for private sector engagement;

• policy advisors in relevant international and national networks such as FEBA, PEDRR, NAP Global network, NDC Partnership, and Global Initiative for Disaster Risk Reduction.

As the workshop is meant to focus on the needs of the EbA Community of Practice, we encourage you to participate actively and fully in the event. The agenda will be designed around two half days, offering room to comply with your ongoing work-related duties outside of the workshop. Being aware of the different time zones the EbA community covers, we will start in the afternoon CET on November 24th and continue before noon CET on November 25th.

To make sure that we cover the topics most relevant for you, we conducted a brief survey prior to this invitation. The following themes emerged from this inquiry and will form the basis for our discussions:

• EbA Governance with a focus on participation

• M&E for EbA

• EbA in international and sector policies

• Communicating EbA

• EbA in Agriculture, Forestry and Land Use

• EbA and Integrated Water Resource Management

• Financing EbA

Please register for the event by filling in the attached registration form and sending it back to eba@giz.de by November 4th, 2020
