Mountain

Mountain ecosystems are rich repositories of both biodiversity and water. They are home to some of the most threatened species, as well as to some of the world's poorest communities. Mountains are among the most fragile ecosystems and are facing enormous pressure from the impacts of climate change. EbA interventions such as mountain forest restoration can help decrease soil erosion and reduce negative impacts from increased frequency and intensity of droughts as well as intense rainfall events.
